A Moment for Thanks and Gratitude
We want to take a moment to give thanks and a massive amount of gratitude to our production and warehouse teams, distribution partners, suppliers and all of our dedicated employees, as we help each other get through the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. Examples abound of how we have come together, including:
- Our safety and procurement teams worked closely together to source and deliver face masks, face shields, gloves, hand sanitizer and other difficult-to-find PPE at the peak of the crisis. In addition, they mailed out thousands of reusable cloth masks to employee’s homes so that they and their families could be safe when venturing out for necessities.
- Our R&D team wanted to show their gratitude to our production teams and cooked up a delicious thank-you meal, utilizing our products, that was individually wrapped for each employee.
- During the peak of the pandemic, The Greater Boston Food Bank reached out to Home Market Foods with an urgent request for food. 12 hours later, we delivered 32,000 pounds of protein products to support a local community, with additional donations proceeding out regularly.
